Co-Designing AI Wayfinding Support

We are exploring how technology can help people navigate the world with more independence.

💡

Why we are doing this

We're designing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) system to support navigation.

We want to learn how support workers help during walks, so we can teach technology to provide similar support.

👋

Who we're looking for

  • People who use support workers or companions for community outings.
  • Can communicate verbally.
  • Navigate semi-independently with assistance.
  • 18 years or older.

What you will do

1

Go for a Community Outing

Visit a familiar community place (like a museum or supermarket) with your usual support worker.

2

Try the Technology

Try wearing our AR (Augmented Reality) glasses prototype (Microsoft HoloLens 2) to see how it works.

3

Chat with Us

Share your thoughts and feedback about the experience. We want to know what you think!
